One week of school left to go. Oatie will be a bit sad to leave school... But the school has a bad bullying problem... They just can't sort it out, it is just left...
I'm hoping that I can get his manual ABR back into his day which is impossible with school and trying to let him be a kid too.
I'm a bit apprehensive if I'm cut out to be a homeschool mom... I have given it huge amounts of thought... If it doesn't work out they can return to school lol!
Oatie did an amazing job in his piano recital, he has only been playing since September!
Oatie has been swimming more recently and he has been doing really well with it being more and more confident
Oatie's mom is considering homeschooling Oatie and his sibs....
Such a huge decision.... If we do it I hope we don't let them down...
Got back in the pool! I paid or babysitter to take oatie swimming once a week! !

We had a great weekend, we looked at a different mountain to see if we could ski with Oatie there. We are not totally sure, but we are investigating it further.

The kids school has 2-3 horrible illnesses going around, flu, a cold and a stomach virus! So I kept my kids away from that!
Oatie's ABR machine is away for repair, it has since really well, we have had it for years without fault. Let's hope it comes back soon :) sledge hockey starts up again tomorrow :)
There was a school ski day and we skied as a family as Oatie couldn't ski with the school because the mountain doesn't have lessons catered for people with disabilities.
We had a really good day
Today someone parked in the disabled parking spot, no blue or red badge.... I agree that disability can be invisible... However.... At least display the badge, or write a note... Broken leg...
I agree first come first served... But please just be genuine...
Oatie is learning about the ear at the moment at school and sound waves...
The kids gave me this mug and I absolutely love it
We went skiing this sat and Oatie learned to steer himself a little on the less steep bits. Oaties dad skis with him and I ski with our youngest.
The weather hasn't been too bad for wheelchairs at present. We have had snow but it's been dry and manageable :)
Sometimes Oaties behaviour, I can't tell what is the CP and what is not... Like his anger... Is he just a hot head? Or can he not help it? When it comes to thinking for himself... Some days he does it and Some days he doesn't... Even with 3 other siblings older and younger to compare to... I can't tell. I do know he is exceptionally intelligent... His relaxed/at home conversations still isn't spontaneous like my other 3. He will ask for drinks etc... Or if he wants to do something specific... Sometimes he will tell me about this day on his own.... It's really quite sporadic...
Time and years seem to zip on by... Our youngest started skating lessons this year... And Oatie is just doing sledge for skating, we still skate as a family most Sundays..
